Breastfeeding is natural and healthy, but don’t expect it to be easy. You will come across challenges the first days and it helps to be well prepared. Patience and persistence will become your best friends when you are starting to breastfeed because you may come across various challenges.
In this course you will learn the fundamentals; why breastmilk is the best milk for your baby, when to start, what to expect, what happens when you are breastfeeding, the best positions, how often you should feed the baby and how long, as well as a few helpful tips.
You will also learn about breast changes; what happens when the milk comes in, how to prevent sore nipples, what to do if you have flat or inverted nipples, if the baby has a tongue-tie or if you have engorgement, leaky breasts or temporary oversupply.
Some women can not breastfeed for various reasons. This lesson covers all the important things you need to know if you have to, or decide to bottle feed.
